In preparation for the Rockport Lighthouse Regatta, Ruthless needed to be moved down to Corpus Christi.
This trip was a bit challenging.
Crew : Donald,Don,Matt,Kathy
Motored out of Galveston at Sun up Saturday morning had topped off the boat with provisions feul and ice at the Harborwalk Marina.. Little to no wind to be found, Same all the way to Freeport where we exited the intercoastal and raised the main just to stabilize the rolling action. Crew ate/slept/drank well along the way but little or no wind, we relied on the iron genny to get us to Corpus. Taking a course less far off shore we dodged new and different oil rigs – it actually seemed like there were less rigs on that route.
Dropped Don off in Port Aransas at 7am, and headed up to Hook and Bull to haul the boat out for bottom job.
Donald had made arrangements to leave the boat on sunday at Hook and Bull, but the slips were pretty full, and the one we did try was silted up, so we ended up tying Ruthless up the haulout, and off loading all the cold provisions since there would be no power during her stay on the hard.
